The World Edition began in 2007 as a vision of Alexander H. Johnstone. The concept grew from his interest in cities and exciting development projects around the world. He began publishing The World Edition in an effort to reach out to others interested in the world's built environment and also to draw others into it.
Since its founding, the publication has grown rapidly. It is currently read by thousands of people from all over the world each month.
