Entertainment, Sports and Tourism Development in Bodrum, Turkey

Along the luxurious coast of Bodrum, Turkey, a world-class entertaninment, sports and tourism center is currently in planning. Located in Akyarlar, the project will be comprised of a five star hotel, isolated villas and much more. Among its cultural, shopping, vacation, entertainment facilties, the Bodrum-Akyarlar project will include Turkey's first development related to extreme sports.
The Bodrum-Akyarlar Project will be 230,000 m² in area, including 25,000 m² of indoor space. The site for the development will undergo a massive urban transformation with the redevelopment of all of the existing structures.
Not only is the Bodrum-Akyarlar Project attrative to tourists, it is also ecological and will produce its own energy with renewable energy resources and natural materials.
The project is being developed by UK based architectural firm Broadway Malyan and Turkish real estate developer AB Invest Company.
Broadway Malyan has implemented many urban renewal projects and is one of the world's leading architectural firms. The company intends to make cities livable through urban regeneration projects. In addition to the Bodrum Project, they plan to carry out regeneration projects with AB Invest in Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul.
The project will cost 41 million euro and is planned to begin in 2010 and be complete in 2012.
